Trip to Carlos Bakery

So on Sunday we took a trip to Carlos Bakery (Cake Boss) in Hoboken, NJ.  It was an awesome experience for us.  My daughter Jaylinn absolutely loves Cake Boss and for her to be able to go to the actual bakery where the show is filmed was so much fun for her.  We had to stand on line for like 45 minutes but that was fine by us.  An employee passed around samples of chocolate and vanilla cakes, they were so good.  Once inside we took pictures of the photos on the wall of Buddy when he was young working in the bakery and of his father Carlos also as a young man working in his now famous bakery.  We bought pastries and a cream cake.  Jaylinn got herself a shirt with Buddy on it.  She was all smiles and put it on right then and there.  When we got home she asked if she could sleep in it :) and asked to watch some Cake Boss before going to bed.  I'm very glad that we was able to make our little princess dream come true!

Easter Sunday

So Easter Sunday this year was a lot of fun with the kiddies.  We took them to the Children's Museum of Manhattan and they went on a scavenger hunt all over the museum.  They ran and slid down the slides and explored every floor which is full of nothing but fun and so many learning activities.  Afterwards we went down to the financial district to Trinity Church for an Egg Hunt but the line was so long we turned around and came home.  The kids had fun coloring eggs and opening their Easter baskets.  After that we took them to Taco Bell for dinner.  It was a fun day and they really enjoyed themselves which is what we always aim for!
